Wyoming has the most abundant reserves of trona on the planet, estimated by the USGS at over 23 billion metric tonnes of soda ash equivalent and able to deliver hundreds of years of soda ash supply.
Wyoming’s natural soda ash is the essential ingredient for so many day-to-day items that we can’t live without - glass, detergents, lithium-ion EV batteries, photovoltaic solar panels, food products, numerous household goods and more.
With Project West’s already permitted export facility on the US West Coast, we are ready to ship Wyoming’s natural soda ash internationally, driving the global market.
Wyoming’s natural soda ash produced from Project West will be significantly more cost-competitive and more environmentally friendly than synthetically created product from China or Europe.
